Attendance Policy:
Consistent attendance at rehearsals is essential to creating strong musical ensembles. You may have to choose between joining SDSCO and other activities. Please carefully review the attendance guidelines and rehearsal/concert schedule before making the decision to audition.
Maximum 2 absences allowed, including sickness or otherwise. In addition, attendance is mandatory for the last rehearsal of each concert period.
Students are permitted a maximum of either one late arrival to a rehearsal or one early departure from a rehearsal per concert period for approved circumstances such as school concerts. Students are required to be at rehearsal by the call time, and they are expected to be in their seats, warmed up, tuned, and ready for the conductor’s downbeat. Arrival after the conductor’s downbeat will be recorded as a late arrival.
